Ask A Mortgage Question

In 2012 when I began my career making mortgages I was taught, “never make assumptions, always be transparent, and treat clients as if they were your brother or your mother.” Thank G-d, I have many client friends that were once strangers, and I’ve helped hundreds of families build stability and wealth. It’s been a great job (imagine making dreams come true almost every day), and I stay in touch with my clients for years after they close their loan because we built relationships along the way, and I feel a bit of pride having been blessed with the opportunity to help them own their home. I avoid making assumptions by thoroughly educating clients before the mortgage transaction, enabling you to clarify your interests and timeframe. I ask pertinent questions to fully understand your options, and explore those options with you until you feel well informed and comfortable with your chosen loan program. And then I give you an assessment on how to put yourself in the best position to save time, money, energy, and to get the lowest rate and best terms you can qualify for. I use all the tools and knowledge I possess to give you insight and transparency into the loan approval process, so that when we’re finished, we can look each other in the eye and know that you received the very best terms, rate, and service that I can offer. My word of mouth reputation is attached to every transaction. You can count on me to be thorough up-front, investing time and resources, offering insight regarding grants or benefits you may qualify for as well as tips and tools to help you with your goals. I love what I do. My goal is your 5-Star satisfaction and to always reinforce a bedrock of reliable confidence in my work and the Shimmy Braun team of Guaranteed Rate. A little bit about my personal life: I’m considered an orthodox Jew. I relocated from South Carolina to Maryland to marry a wonderful woman back in 2015. I earned my Bachelor’s Degree from Winthrop University. I’ve been to 47 states and 26 countries. Lived abroad for 3 years. Value reliability and human dignity. Play tennis and basketball. I love people, and volunteer for civic and charitable organizations. I’m grateful for my parents and my family, who have been anchors of care and guidance for me all my life.
